Guillaume Amontons

Guillaume stack (Paris, 31 August 1663 - Paris, 11 October 1705) was a French physicist and inventor.

The son of a lawyer who went from Normandy to Paris, arose the interest of physical instruments

He was the inventor of the barometer and hygrometer, and wrote several books including the best known: Fees physiques et experiences sur la construction de nouvelle clepsydre links.
